3 Books NOT to Read During a Pandemic

Or you know…. you can. I’m not going to tell you how to live your life haha.

Anyways, I was sitting here thinking “man, I haven’t posted on my site in forever, and now the world is right upside down.” . So, what better time than now, while I have you captive (quarantined… whatever) to step back into this platform.

Without further ado, here’s the 3 books I think you might want to avoid for awhile. OR dive right into them and get your freak on. Whatever your mindset, I got you! Plus if you do want to learn more about these books, just click the images. I’m an Indigo Affiliate, so you will be taken to the Chapters Indigo website FYI.

  1. Bird Box

Did you know this was a book first? Well, it was. And if you haven’t watch Sandra and her blindfold on Netflix then continue with your blind eye to this novel. It is not the time. Or is it? Blindfolds, Facemasks, same thing.

  2. Hunger Games

Okay so this is an oldie but trust me, you don’t want to be planning a dystopian throwback right now. However, if you’re curious as to what the world would be like if we were devastated and split into factions solely based on supply, may the odds be ever in your favour… mentally.

  3. The Road

We’re just going to take a straight up nose-dive into despair here. This book is BLEAK. Perhaps that’s your jam though. You want to wrap yourself up in a world full of sadness, violence and terror. Get your fix here my friend. No judgement. It’s seriously an awesome book. Best to avoid if you’re not wanting to know what the worst of the worst could look like though.

Are there any books you are avoiding (or chasing down?) Let me know in the comments.

Happy not-reading!
